After Trent's latest doctor's appointment, we were given the green light on starting him on solid foods.  We recorded his first feeding.  His facial expressions are priceless. ** disclaimer - Dad picked out the bib!

Mondays and Tuesdays have been a lot of fun this summer.  Dave is normally off so often times Trent and I get to see more of Uncle Dave on these days.  Last Monday, Trent's almost-Aunt Carol was relaxing at the pool with us and Dave was nice enough to give us an impromptu scuba lesson in the pool.  It was a blast and both Carol and I would love to get certified at some point, hopefully by Uncle Dave! 

Wow time flies by.  The last few weeks have been busy so this will be another round of multiple posts at once.  Here are some pics that have been taken recently.  Trent went to the doctor on Friday for his four month checkup.  He is currently 17lbs 10oz and about 26.5 inches long.  He is in the 90th percentile for height and weight.  Trent receives a lot of attention whereever we go.  Regardless of the location, all the ladies want to comment on how handsome and cute he is.  Then it is inevitably followed by how old and how much does he weigh.  As we live in the south, this is often followed in a thick southern accent by, "You poor thing, look at you, how do you do it?"  I am managing just fine, thank you.  Though I am looking forward to him being able to sit up on his own so I don't have to take the car seat or a carrier into the store EVERY time. 

How can you not fall in love with this face?

Date night

Last night Jesse and I got the chance to go on a date!  As much as we adore our little one, it was so much fun to get out on the town as a couple.  We went and saw "The Proposal" with Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock.  It was very funny and an overall great date movie.  Afterwards, we tried out a new restaurant in town.  We both go crazy for a good hamburger and we were not disappointed!
